We are pleased to announce that Globo's telenovela, Orphans of a Nation (Órfãos da Terra) has been announced as the winner for the Soap or Telenovela Award, two hours ago at the Rose d'Or Awards in London.
This marks a great year for the Brazilian telenovela because two telenovelas from Brazil competed against British soap operas.
The other Brazilian nominee was Record TV's Topissima, which has reported insanely high audiences through the Brazilian media
