Blood Ties (Laços de Sangue) is a Portuguese telenovela produced by SIC in conjunction with Globo (Brazil) from 2010/2011. The telenovela stars Diana Chaves, Diogo Morgado, and Joana Santos as the villain.

Many years pass and as young women, Inês becomes a kind-hearted woman, owner of a restaurant named M, with her mother while Diana is a power-hungry young lady, pitiful of her poverty-stricken life alongside her adoptive parents, Graciette and Antonio.
A secret conversation between her adoptive parents triggers Diana's memories and she recalls everything that happened as a child. She is prepared to claim all that is hers and is ready to trample over anything and everything, most especially her sister, Inês, whom she blames for growing up away from the family. How far is Diana willing to go to ruin her sister's life?
Blood Ties is the winner of the International Emmy Award for Best Telenovela (2011) and will air on Citizen TV Kenya from 5 p.m. on weekdays
