MOST ENGAGING BRAZILIAN TELENOVELAS I HAVE SEEN

May 09, 2018

We have devoured many Brazilian telenovelas over the years but there have been plots which have captured us over and over again that we cannot help but list them as some of the greatest plots around. After much deduction , I have made my list of the most engaging telenovelas from Brazil I have seen.

1. India - A Love Story

It must be one of the most best written plots if not the best. India was the one telenovela that defied odds when it came to capturing culture in full bloom. Written by prolific author, Gloria Perez, India was the epitome of color, romance and drama with 160 episodes to boast of its much talked about escapism.  Read the full plot here : http://www.globotvinternational.com/prodDet.asp?prodId=115&catId=1

2. The Life we Lead

A sibling story never felt this good. The Life we Lead chronicled the story of two sisters who loved each other and vowed loyalty for life, despite having a cold and calculating mother who aimed to pit them against each other. A car crash that lands their mother's beloved daughter in a coma will test how loyal the two are to each other. This intriguing story has 70 episodes that carefully flow and warp up the story in a satisfactory manner that leaves the audience cherishing this story for life. 3. Brave Woman

Brave Woman is a fast paced telenovela and from the word go, that is the stylistic device that makes this plot interesting whilst having a heart wrenching plot revolving around the riveting topic of human trafficking. The telenovela is also shot on exotic locations that enhancing its authenticity and spazz. Brave Woman's 140 episodes leave you feeling like it was worth your time. 4. Shades of Sin

Shades of Sin is the telenovela that the world took to its heart. The story was unique in defying racist boundaries by having actress Tais Araujo as its leading actress. Beyond this small fact, it was enjoyable to the core, a cross breed of intense drama as well as mature humor. It had 160 episodes and I would not mind watching it a fifth, sixth, seventh time without regret. Read the full plot here: http://www.globotvinternational.com/prodDet.asp?prodId=57&catId=1

5. Irrational Heart

If you didn't watch the tale of Marina, Pedro and Leo, then you have no idea how much you missed. Irrational Heart was vocal in expressing love at its peak, and how lives intertwine to bring out a compelling drama of life in a new light. It made 150 episodes seem too short. 6.  Brazil Avenue

Crowned the most bestselling telenovela yet, it surprises me how people do not deem Brazil Avenue unnecessarily dramatic. No one is denying that the plot is engaging, otherwise it wouldn't be in this list. I'm just saying that despite is excellence, they could have stopped making the villain, Carminha, look like she was the devil's twin, because it was this particular character's actions that seemed to make the telenovela revolve. Still, I have to admit, the 160 episodes of unlimited drama were worth it. Read the full plot here: http://www.globotvinternational.com/prodDet.asp?prodId=195&catId=1
