Moses and the Ten Commandments Season 2: What to expect

November 05, 2019

After 176 episodes of pure action and bliss, Moses and the Ten Commandments is now well into its second season and the public could not be more than happy to keep this amazing Biblical telenovela on screens for a long while.

The first season brought us a lot of activity associated with the 10 plagues that hit Egypt and the release of the Hebrews by Ramses and now, the Hebrews story continues in the new second season.

Moses has freed his people from Egypt and now faces a new challenge: leading thousands of Hebrews through the desert to the Promised Land.
But in order to reach Canaan, they must cross a region inhabited by enemy kingdoms, who fear that the people of the God of Israel will invade their lands. Moreover, despite all the wonders they witnessed, there are still Hebrews who doubt and, at the first sign of difficulty, murmur, complain, and plot against Moses, making the task of be
Our hero's challenge is to turn the Hebrews into a holy and powerful nation and defeat the enemy peoples who will try to destroy them to prevent them from reaching Canaan - The Promised Land.
History goes on…
Descending from Mount Sinai with the tablets of the Law, Moses finds the people worshiping the Golden Calf. Enraged by the Hebrews' lack of faith, he breaks the tablets and urges them to make a choice: those who are of the Lord, who stand beside him. That night those who committed the sin of idolatry perish and did not repent. God calls Moses again to the summit of Mount Sinai and writes, once again, the Ten Commandments. Moses returns to the people with the Law of the Lord and calls them to build the Tabernacle that will house His holy presence and will be used for sacred rituals.

The construction of this great work involves all the people and some are appointed by God who entrusts them with special tasks. The Lord fills them with the Spirit of wisdom and empowers them, just as He inspires men and women from all over Israel for the work to be done. Aaron is chosen as High Priest and his sons as Priests to be the spiritual leaders of the people.
Other Kingdoms…
The news that the God of the Hebrews supernaturally decimated the most powerful Egyptian army of the time, as well as helped them to defeat the Amalekites, runs rampant throughout the region and afflicts the rulers of other peoples.
The rich and influential kingdom of Moab, notorious ally of Midian, fearing that their lands would be invaded by the Hebrews, plot to make an alliance with Moses to counteract the threat. Moab is an idolatrous kingdom, with abominable practices of pagan rituals, such as child sacrifice. The cruel rulers of Moab - King Balak and Queen Elda - will use every possible trick to achieve their goals, and for this, they have the help of the wizard Balaam renowned for his powers, among them hypnosis.

Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, will be involved in his plots with dire consequences for him and his family. Zipporah's sisters - Adira and Betânia - will suffer hard from Balak's actions. Betânia remains coerced in Moab to try to repair a great mistake of her past, while Adira suffers a sad fate, separated from all of her children, and ends up in the Kingdom of the Amorites.

I hope this gives you a glimpse into Moses and the Ten Commandments' second season. I tried my best not to give anything too important away because I think this season is without a doubt the best one and it will be more enjoyable if you see how things unfold for yourself. We are all looking forward to this season…
