35 year old Brazilian actor, Duda Nagle, whom we are currently familiar with as Otávio Neto in Friends to the Rescue (also previously from India - A Love Story and Brave Woman), joins Disney Junior in the Portuguese dubbing of Fancy Nancy, which premieres in October in the USA.
Duda will be the Portuguese voice of Doug, the family of the family in Fancy Nancy. The series is based on the set of books written by Jane O'Connor.
In an interview, Nagle said: It has been a lot of fun...they turn the voice into something of an imagery, almost like a score. All of the text is divided into a peculiar and adapted manner and has all the audio graphics.
Fancy Nancy tells the story of Nancy, a 6 year old girl who has the ability to turn simple things into very sophisticated ones.
Duda says of the character, Doug, whom he is dubbing: The character is a reflection of the kind of father I want to be six years from now - a participator who likes to solve things around the house.
Duda is preparing to be father soon. His partner, media personality Sabrina Sato has already completed her seven months of gestation.
Doug is a happy, clumsy father who loves to shop at garage sales. Despite being very involved in all matters of the family, Nancy finds him tragically simple and does not conform to beige as his preferred color.
The series has its premier confirmed for October 14 at 11am in a marathon that features four episodes shown simultaneously on Disney Junior and Disney Channel.
