Beloved Brazilian actor Lázaro Ramos, previously from Snakes and Lizards, Two Faces, Irrational Heart and Side By Side is set to star in a new film!
The movie titled O Silêncio da Chuva (The Silence of the Rain) will be directed by Daniel Filho and Lusa Silvestre.
The film is based on the book of the same name that was written by Luiz Alfredo Garcia Roza.
Lázaro will play the role of Deputy Espinosa.
The film will also star Claudia Abreu from Sparkling Girls, Mayana Neiva from Tangled Hearts, Thalita Carauta, Otávio Müller, Bruno Gissoni from Brazil Avenue, Pedro Nercessian, Guilherme Fontes and Anselmo Vasconcelos.
On the TV adaption on GNT, the role of Deputy Espinosa was played by the late Domingos Montagner from Brave Woman and Precious Pearl.
Filming commences at the end of this month. The film will be produced by Lereby, co-produced by Globo Filmes and distributed by Image Filmes.
